Looking for something new, different and exciting for your next team building event? Give your team an experience they'll never forget -- stage time!
Let me tell you my experiences, and you can see if you think this would be a good fit for your team (then you can get more details below).
I started doing stand-up in 2014. I've performed in dirty bars, fancy comedy clubs, corporate parties, you name it. In this time, I have noticed some amazing benefits. I am more confident. I am able to approach a tense situation with a bit of defusing humor. I can now read a room when doing a presentation to see if they're with me. And nothing breaks a group through a creative block when trying to solve a problem like humor.
Doing three minutes on stage in front of a real audience takes creativity, guts, and a willingness to step out of the normal, stuffy corporate suit. When your team does this together, it becomes an experience you'll share for a lifetime.
How does it work?
It's very simple. Over a short series of team meetings, you'll learn:
Joke construction: how to write a joke. You'll start seeing jokes everywhere after this.
Joke performance. Jokes are performed, not told. We'll discuss how to get on stage and perform jokes in your own style, your own voice. I'm not going to expect you to be Robin Williams or Jim Carrey. You'll be you.
Material refinement. You'll practice in front of the team and get feedback from a real, professional Stand-up Comedian.
Performance. I set up a real show for your team. You'll invite your friends, family, and co-workers, and you'll have the experience of a lifetime.
Video. You get a video of the performance. Now, it's a homemade quality video, not some fancy production. But you'll get something you can either hide deep in your hard drive or post up on YouTube!
How much does it cost? It's $500 plus $100 per person. So a team of five would be $1000.
